Where It All Started (2015)A selection of images and clippings from 2015. From the infamous Settee of Culture (a satirical nod to Hull hosting the Turner Prize), through early paste-ups, local media attention, a period of spray painting on abandoned furniture, to early stencil canvases for World AIDS Day.
My slap dash, hit and run street art, was something different on the Hull graffiti and street art scene. At that time, few artists were using the streets, especially found objects, as part of their artworks. I hit a zeitgeist, a moment in time, without really knowing what I was doing. But somehow it resonated, and an artistic journey that has lead me to where I am now, was born. |
Alleyway (2015/2017)Over a period of 2 years an alleyway between two terraced streets in Hull's HU5 area became my canvas. Paste-ups, graffiti, fly-posters, layered, torn back, added to. It was eventually named a "hidden gem" of the city by the Hull Daily Mail.

Hull Heroes Series (June to August 2015)
My first stencil work on canvas. Originally created as part of the Hull Heroes Exhibition at Kardomah94, in Hull. It became a popular series, I sold pieces all over Hull and the world.
Spam Taxi (August 2015)
Turning a London cab into a tin of Spam. Because... Why not?
Barry The Barrier (2016)
A satirical take on the mass moaning about the city centre realm works during 2016 in Hull, in the run up to the City of Culture. Barry became a minor celebrity, and an un-offical mascot for City of Culture. He even auditioned for Britain's Got Talent (this is true).
Rainbow Garages (2017)
I was approached by a neighbour and friend Dave Bush, with a project idea. That we paint all our garage doors of the court we lived in, the Pride rainbow colours, as part of the 2017 City of Culture celebrations in Hull. We had a mini community carnival to launch the installation. Much of which, though faded and peeling now, still exists to this day.
Suite W. (2021/2022)
I miss my studio space.
Shit Art (2021)
During 2021 I did a series of toilet based installations. Literally, using the sanitary ware and the toilets themselves as the canvas.
